Aisle and Vow Exchange
2021 has given the wedding industry some renewed hope. No matter the size of your ceremony or reception, couples across the nation are maintaining extravagantly designed spaces. For ceremonies, flower-heavy displays are on trend in the space where vows are exchanged. Many of these displays are pieces made out of Oasis foam to make the designing process easier. And now we are seeing the rising popularity of the flower column. These columns are constructed with a stiff pole and a cage of chicken wire or Floral Design wire secured to the outside of the pole. This creates a stunning design and can be a statement piece at the end of any aisle. Designs can be constructed in a variety of themes including bold and flashy, or minimal and organic.

Reception
Now it’s time to party! The reception is where you and your guests will spend most of their time, and well-designed flower pieces are one of the best ways to give your space the biggest transformations. Again, no matter how large or small your wedding is, reception flowers are a must. The decor you will find are table centerpieces or tablescapes, a sweetheart table, and bouquets for every other table being used in the wedding (buffet, guest book, cake, etc.). We’ve assembled some of the hottest reception flower arrangements for this summer.
Centerpieces
Cloche – for those looking to give their wedding a botanical twist, the cloche is a unique new form of the floral centerpiece. In this picture, the flowers used are dried, and incredibly easy to work with. You can construct this by gluing the stems to the bottom of the cloche. If you would like to make this with fresh flowers, I recommend using either a piece of Oasis foam or a floral frog with a water basin underneath it. Fresh flowers in a cloche should not be placed in direct sunlight as that can create a greenhouse effect, and prematurely age and destroy your flowers.
Mixed Bud Vases – when you’re looking to decorate your space to the max but don’t want to max out the budget, bud vases have become one of the most elegant and practical options. Easy to thrift or purchase online, bud vases allow you to buy a small number of flowers and decorate in a variety of ways. The most popular being in either a cluster in the center of a round table, sometimes surrounded by stems of greenery, or in a line, down the width of a table and weaved around a fresh greenery garland. Fill these little vases with a menagerie of all the flowers being used in your wedding.
Sweetheart Table
The Sweetheart Table is where you and your betrothed will sit, eat and toast during your wedding reception. A sweetheart table can seat either just you and your betrothed, or include your whole wedding party. The sweetheart table can have an extravagant piece to make a statement or simple and modern. It is up to your style and preference. . This summer, we are seeing long and flowy floral arrangements trend with a variety of true greens in ferns and ruscus stems. You can create this piece with a brick of Oasis foam sitting in a water basin, and the flowers and greenery of your choosing. Keep stems as long as possible and poke in from different directions to achieve a flowing, 3-dimensional look.
