When searching for bridal bouquet inspiration, one flower that you’ll likely see time and time again is the Anemone, especially white Anemones which are highly sought after! I mean who can resist that crisp, clean look? However, bone white petals with a jet black center is not the only color combo that Anemones are offered in. These beautiful blooms come in a variety of both natural and tinted colors like red, hot pink, burgundy, blue, and purple among others. And if you are not a fan of the black centers, they’re also available with pale green centers!
Anemones, also known as “the windflower,” pair nicely in an arrangement with Larkspur and Wax Flower to attain the very popular wildflower look! Their average bloom width ranges from 2 to 3.5 inches, and though they are not as large as a Peony or Garden Rose, these blooms make perfect focal flowers. Here’s a little inspiration for how to work Anemones into all kinds of different arrangements:

Keep in mind that Anemones are a very delicate flower, and therefore tend to arrive visibly dehydrated–almost resembling crumpled tissue paper. With a fresh trim and sometime to rehydrate in a cool, dark environment, they should perk right back up and continue to bloom open! (That said, if you’re ever having difficulty working with flowers that you’ve received from FiftyFlowers, do not hesitate to reach out to our Customer Care team and they can offer you expert advice, specialized flower-specific care tips, or even review photos of your flowers to make sure that things are on track.)
They are generally in season from October to May, but because we work with farms all around the world we are able to offer them May through September as well! Click here to shop Anemones by seasonal availability.
