Boho vibes, lush flowers and a moody color palette were all Dani (the bride’s friend) needed to create gorgeous floral arrangements for Jake and Ashlyn’s bohemian-style wedding at Bloomington Country Club. Ashlyn’s floral vision included an abundance of greenery and eye-catching flowers like protea. “The bride wanted greenery to be everywhere to create a forest feel from the ceremony to the reception, so eucalyptus and agonis branches were the basis of nearly every arrangement,” Dani said in her flower story.
Although it was Dani’s first time arranging flowers, that didn’t stop her from making sure the bride’s vision came to life. “We included proteas as a focal piece for the bride’s large bouquet as well as the arrangements at the ceremony; each bridesmaid carried unique hoop bouquets with a protea as the focus,” Dani said. The greenery-forward arrangements carried through floral crowns, ceremony, reception and the bridesmaids’ floral hoops to add an earthy vibe to their day.
The lush greens really brought the the bohemian wedding style to life, as did the wardrobe. Ashlyn channeled a free-spirited look with a long-sleeved lace gown from Wilderly Bride, which looked amazing with her edgy leather jacket. Her bridesmaids wore mix-and-matched dresses in rich jewel tones, which added to the earthy feel.
