Spring is probably the season that’s most strongly associated with flowers, and in celebration of that I’d like to showcase some of the fabulous options that spring brides have at their disposal when it comes to bouquets! Whether you’re looking for something simple and understated or super-full and extravagant, full of bold colors or monochromatic pastels, anything goes during spring! Here are some favorites that I’ve been swooning over lately…
This kaleidoscopic creation was actually submitted as part of one of our customers’ Flower Story–which you can check out here! The “wild” feel with the varying textures and heights is just so fun. (You can see the complete list of products she purchased in her Flower Story, which she supplemented with some Bupleurum and Ruscus greenery from her garden!)

Opting for a monochromatic color scheme doesn’t have to mean a mundane bouquet! I love the way the multi-petaled Lavender Stock contrasts with the sleek Tulip blooms.

This color palette just screamed “spring” to me! I also really enjoyed their choice of pairing classic bouquet flowers like white Standard Roses and pale blue Hydrangea with whimsical Craspedia Billy Balls and fresh stalks of Wheat.

The FiftyFlowers office has a pretty serious obsession with Feverfew–the tiny, daisy-like flowers that you see below–and with good reason. Look how adorable it is! This bride paired it with a rainbow of Ranunculus, Gerbera Daisies, and Delphinium to create this ultra-fun arrangement. Her red manicure was a great choice to pick up on the colorful nature of the bouquet.

This bouquet came from another FiftyFlowers DIY bride! She was on a tight budget, so she chose to create her arrangements using two of our DIY Combo Packs to get a good variety of products while keeping the price down. You can see more photos of her event as well as her product list in her Flower Story here!

Personally, I’m a sucker for any arrangement that incorporates succulents, so this one obviously called out to me! Peach spray roses complement the soft, mint-y green tones of both the bouquet and the bridesmaid dress perfectly.

Thistle is one of the hottest filler “flowers” this year, and rightly so. Their spiky texture is so unique and undeniably cool! Plus, since naturally blue flowers are rather hard to come by, Thistle is a great way to work that color into your floral arrangements without having to opt for tinted products. This florist paired it with hot pink Stock, purple-blue Veronica, creamy white Tulips, lime green Bupleurum, and a variety of pink Standard Roses to complete the look.

What could be more seasonally appropriate than a spring green bouquet?! This one even includes some beautifully ruffled ornamental Kale, which is a growing trend this year. They rounded out the eco-chic look with some Seeded Eucalyptus, Green Dianthus, creamy white Hypericum Berries, green Hydrangea, Lily Grass, Scabiosa Pods, and–my favorite–succulents!

This bouquet does a great job of balancing an all-out prismatic color scheme with a good amount of greens and neutrals. It’s a great way to make a rainbow-hued array of flowers a bit more palatable!
