Wedding Web Pages

January 7th, 2006 Posted in Wedding Planning and Ideas

Since you’re reading this blog, you’re obviously familiar with the internet, and it’s usefulness as a tool for finding great wedding tips and tricks with little hassle.  What you may not know, however, is that the same tools that websites use to provide you with information, you as a couple can also use to provide details to friends and family by way of a wedding web page.

Now before anyone starts thinking that they don’t have the technical know how to set up a webpage, don’t worry!  Wedding mega-site TheKnot.com has made creating the site to suit your needs as easy as pointing and clicking.  The process requires that you register with the site (a free service) so that your site information can be generated and saved for you, but following that tiny but of administration, you’re well on your way to highlighting your wedding.  Click here to see for yourself.

After logging in, you will be guided through a series of nine steps including: choosing a site design (they have dozens of available templates); adding in the story of who you are, how you met, and how you got engaged; ceremony and reception details; adding photos and photo albums;  and the newest (and perhaps best) feature, online RSVPing for your guests!

The sites are easy as pie to set up and are a wonderful way to help share the joy of your wedding with your friends and family, particularly those that are unable to attend, but would like to see pictures.  It’s as simple as emailing them the link to your great wedding web site, that you made yourself.
