Wedding Trends for 2013 – English Garden Romance

Over the past few weeks, I have talked about some of my favorite predicted trends for 2013, including My Top 5, and the theme of Refined Rustic. But today, I want to talk about another theme that is expected to make a huge appearance this year…Victorian or English Garden Parties.

Since it is being said there is going to be a return to elegance, think of this theme as an upscale version of last years outdoor wildflower garden wedding. Now, some of the details will remain the same, wild, untamed, yet lush floral arrangements, hair worn down in loose waves, long flowing dresses…but some things, like I said, will be elevated a bit…think more, with flowers, the fuller the better, lush, lush, lush arrangements or full floral garlands running the length of the tables, there will be lots of romantic lighting, whether it be hanging chandeliers from a tree, yes, a tree, or hundreds of candles, or strands of twinkling lights hanging from above, basically, it will be a formal affair, but held outdoors.

Lets take a look at some examples…

So, these are just a few of the things that would make up a gorgeous and romantic English Garden Wedding, but hopefully you get the idea! What do you think? Would this be a wedding look you would go for?

My sister had an English garden wedding theme, and it was absolutely gorgeous! It looked so old fashioned, with her in her lace dress, carrying her beautiful bouquet! The floral arrangements were the talk of the wedding. It was so her!! I love going to weddings where they are different then the usual modern looking weddings.
