Your wedding invitations are an area of wedding planning where you can use some creativity. Make your invitations personale to you and keep your finances in mind. They can get very expensive. Be sure they are designed so they compliment your upcoming wedding day, especially if you are doing a themed wedding.
If you are in need of some invitation inspiration, consider your wedding flowers. Floral designs are a great look for wedding invitations. Here are a few floral trends of wedding invitations.
First it was floral-pressed papers; then it was floral motifs. Now, it’s Asian-influenced, floral-designed papers sewn onto the backs of invitations, used as tissue-paper separators between invitation and reply card, or as envelope liners.
What’s Next
All things 3-D, from tiny paper flowers dotted along the bottom of an invitation (adding some texture to your basic white-on-white) to vintage-inspired Chanel-like flowers made from fabric. A delicate rose (or flirty orchid) applied to a corner creates a flower "brooch" that makes any invitation blossom.
So when choosing your wedding invitations, don’t get overwhelmed by the mounds of catalogs you have come across. Instead decide on your inspiration and then start looking at your choices of decor. Your flowers and colors are a great place to find that inspiration!
