Weddings come in all sizes and degrees of difficulty. When it comes to your wedding flowers, you may have many questions. Which flowers will you choose? How many will you need? What about ceremony decorations and reception table arrangements? Will you come in under budget? The first step is to create a flower budget. Next, look at the size of your bridal party and your VIP guest list. Important guests deserve flowers, especially if they are playing active roles during the ceremony. Once you know who will receive flowers, you must then determine how many flowers each will receive. Although the number may vary slightly depending on the particular flower you choose, there are several rules of thumb you can use here. The following chart serves as a wedding flower checklist, and even includes average numbers of flower required for each item.

The estimated number of required flowers does not include greens. The numbers are simply averages, ranging from small to large arrangements. If it always best to factor is an extra 5-10% cushion, especially if doing the arrangements yourself without professional assistance.
