Carnations are in! These ruffled-edge flowers are now on of the most popular choices for the Winter Season. Available in almost every color, these hearty blooms are easy to work with and will give you arrangements a nice texture, volume and scent. These flowers have been consider as monotonous and in the past have not picked as one of the favorite blooms by brides or for decoration. However, a new trend is up and coming in which the carnation revives and proves itself as a beautiful addition to the overall decoration of an event. Carnation arrangement

Carnations are flowers that look amazing on their own or can be mixed well with other flowers such as roses, spiders and mums. However, the beauty of each flower is multiplied when a group of them are bundled together which makes them ideal for bouquets. You can mix colors for a unique look or keep uniformity in colors for elegance. Bicolor carnations are also a great option for arrangements because they will allow you to have different tones and colors flowing in the same arrangement.

These blooms are easy to work with, they can withstand the heat or cold better than other flowers so they are perfect for outside events, and have a long vase life, which makes them a great candidate for Holidays decorations.

Recently on a Christmas party I attended to, our host, a very detail oriented lady, made her own arrangements to decorate her lovely home. These arrangements looked fabulous and were very easy to make. She used a couple of stems and placed them in attractive vases. For her floral arrangements, she chose red and white carnations, and used greenery to compliment and accent this colorful bloom. Curly willow was also used throughout the arrangements which gave them a sense of height and length.

Give the carnations a try, and you will find you love them too! Premium quality carnations at wholesale prices can be found at www.Fiftyflowers.com
