Keep Your Wedding Manageable: Announce, Don’t Invite

Wedding AnnouncementsIf you’re trying to keep the guest list down to a manageable size, but still want all of your friends and family to know about your joyous upcoming event, use weddings announcements. Rather than sending out invitations and hoping that half the recipients will be unable to make it, or sending them to people you know will be unable to attend, save your precious stationary and send separate notations to these parties.

The advantages of this approach are twofold: the guests are not obligated to send gifts or attend the reception, and you can have more control over who attends the actual ceremony. A handwritten (for a personal touch), or engraved note containing the name of the bride and groom, and the date of the ceremony shows the recipient that you were thinking of them, while not including the time or location of the ceremony ensures that reception crashers stay at home.

These announcements can be sent out just before, or just after the ceremony and are a great way to keep in touch with distant relatives and casual acquaintances and a simple way to help keep costs down for couples on a budget.
