Hair-dos and Don’ts

The brides hairstyle choice seems so simple, but in fact can be fraught with problems if not properly considered.
The most important thing to keep in mind when you’re trying to decide how your hair will look at the wedding is you. Not what the magazines show, not what your best friend did at her wedding, but you. Be sure that the style you choose is a comfortable one for your own personal sense of style. If you’re not one to get fancy at the salon, or spend hours every day primping in front of the mirror, then stick with simple styles that impact with elegance, rather than intricacy. You’re the one that has to sport the look for the entire day, so you better be at ease doing so.
Speaking of wearing it the entire day, it’s also important that you ‘test drive’ your ‘do. Have the hairdresser that will be doing your hair for the ceremony have at least one practice session so that he or she can gain experience working with both your hair, and your selected style. After the practice run, make sure that the style is comfortable by wearing it around for the rest of the day if you can, and conduct normal activities to test its durability.
Please, refrain from dyeing, perming, or radically altering your hair too close to your wedding day, as you hair stylist will be frantic trying to adapt to new colors and textures. Also, if these last minute procedures should go wrong, there is little time for your hair to grow out or be re-dyed before the big day.
