A wedding ceremony has its key members. If you relate them to the past, the royalty are the king and queen, in this case the bride and groom. The bride of course should have the most abundant and colorful bouquet of the entire wedding party, and the groom, a boutonnière that sticks out from the other boutonnières. But what about everyone else involved?

Bride's and bridesmaids' bouquetsLet us begin with the bridesmaids. When it comes to flowers, saying that they need some, would be an understatement. Bridesmaids in their beautiful dresses really set the stage for the bride to walk down the aisle. Their flowers are also very important, and their bouquets should be color coded with the wedding colors. They can be a little smaller then that of the bride’s; after all, the bride’s bouquet is the one that should really stick out! The groomsmen should all have the same boutonniere, but again a bit smaller, or somehow not as accentuating as that of the groom.

Then there are the parents: let’s begin with the Father of the Bride being that he is an important part in the ceremony itself. He should have a boutonniere as beautiful and noticeable as that of the groom, though maybe a couple shades darker or lighter than that of the groom. Then there is the father of the groom, who is not as involved in the ceremony itself but should also be presented with a beautiful boutonnière, the same one as the father of the bride preferably.

Then come the mothers, they are equally important as the fathers, but they don’t get bouquets, that would be overkill. I think it’s a classy and respectful expression for their children, whether it be the bride or groom to present them with two beautiful corsages, (one for each) to wear during the ceremony. Then there are all the other aspects to the wedding party that add the frosting to the cake. First the flower girl, in some cases flower boy, no matter what, fresh rose petals are a must. At Fiftyflowers.com you can find a wide variety of single colored and multi colored roses petals to choose from, they will have plenty of fun tossing those petals down the aisle and of course feel very important.

The ring bearer, which in a traditional wedding would be a little boy, should have a miniature boutonniere made especially for him; he carries something very important, therefore, he should fit in with the rest of the men in the wedding party! Then last but not least are the ushers. Teenage boys are always good for that, and one single rose that coincides with the wedding colors as a boutonniere would be enough to mark them as part of the wedding party.
