Have fun choosing your wedding favors. If you have favors you want them to be something that fits with your wedding day theme and that will remind your guests of your special day for years to come.
Favors can be simple or elaborate, there are no rules. This is one area of your budget where you have the freedom to be creative, but don’t worry about breaking the bank.
Flowers make great favors. There are many things you can do to give sentimental blooms to your wedding guests. Here are a few ideas for floral favors.
- Fill tiny terra-cotta pots with lavender or another favorite herb. Secure nametags to the pots and the favors can double as place cards.
- Give perennial flower bulbs that can be planted in a garden or in a pot resting on a windowsill.
- For a beachside wedding, fresh flower leis are beautiful and festive.
- Fill a basket with individual packets of seeds, like forget-me-nots or your favorite bloom. On the outside, attach a thank-you note, your wedding vows, or the lyrics to your first dance.
- Fill mint julep containers with the flowers that symbolize your love. Attach a small card explaining its meaning (for example, Red Tulips = Declaration of Love).
