The real time news section of our blog produces surprising and interesting results. The system is supposed to pull real times news stories related to weddings, and collect them for our visitors to peruse conveniently. Today I read a touching story of a father who is fighting the war in Iraq, yet will attend his daughter’s wedding 8,000 miles away.
What makes the virtual wedding possible is the Freedom Calls Foundation. The long term goal of the Foundation is to allow soliders at war to virtually come home for a day. Stanlisha, the bride, and her father, Lance, considered it very important that he attend her wedding, and not just watch it on TV. Therefore they will be using a two way feed to allow Lance to participate in his daughter’s wedding.
The Foundation is available at all times, and it free of charge to the troops.
