Once this precious flower use was only done in big city weddings and celebrity parties, but now edible flowers are being seen here and there on banquet tables across the world.
The truly imaginative brides are looking to edible flowers to add to their wedding cakes. Martha Stewart’s been advocating it for years, and finally it looks as if brides are catching on…
Calendula, marigolds, nasturtium, viola, and pansy can all be used in the kitchen. How about begonias gladiolus and tulips? Add them to recipes, use them as a garnish to add color, or decorate a cake.
Is a wedding cake full of edible flowers for you? Maybe not, but now you know you CAN eat them if you see them on another cake!
