A Few Flowers Can Go A Long Way

One of the first rules of wedding planning is to learn that you do not have to have a big budget to have a beautiful day. If you are on a tight budget, you can still have the wedding you always dreamed of without taking a loan. Bringing creativity into your planning not only saves on cost, but it also makes your day unique.

Here are a few tips that have been offered for a wedding on a budget.

Become centerpiece savvy. Use candles to spice up centerpieces, such as using votives on top of a mirror with small accents of flowers or balloons. Have bridesmaids use their bouquets as reception centerpieces, and your wedding ceremony flowers can pull double-duty, too. Or pile nicely wrapped favors in a bowl or basket at the center of each table.

Consider the flowers. Flowers are traditional additions to your wedding day.

You can buy flowers in bulk, which is a great way to save on cost.  You can use these bulk flowers for many things on your wedding day, including bouquets, centerpieces, aisle decorations, and more.

In addition, allowing the bouqets to pull "double-duty" creates a beautiful consistency in your decor and leaves some extra money in your purse.

Bonus Tip:  Bridesmaids do not always keep up with their bouquets at the reception. Having vases strategically placed around the party area allows their bouquets to stay fresh.   …and provides free decor for you too
